the city should look at the city and how people should think about our country. our city has grown up not on the river and with some of the natural advantages many of the other cities have, but it is a bootstrap city in the sense that the determination of the people who live here have made the difference in terms of what has become. we're not the 17th largest city in the country. we have the second-largest financial services center in the country behind new york. we are home to some of the best medicine practice around the world, and many other attributes to the community, including the fact that we are in the emerging world energy capital now that we of the largest energy utility in the country based in charlotte, as well as the second-largest in the world. we feel very confident about our future. right now the country needs to hear the message all of us have to work harder to compete in the global economy. host: from your perspective as the host of this convention, how do you view this through a civic alliance, partisan lines? you are also a democrat. guest: ye
